you need to generate piping & instrumentation diagrams with ease. By
utilizing a pull down menu and dialog boxes, this block library organizes
all of the symbols for easy and instant access. |
It's easy
to use:
This
library can be easily loaded into AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT's menu bar for
quick access. Full instructions are included. There's no need to browse
through folders every time you need to insert a symbol. Its user-friendly
interface allows you to simply point and click to choose from a wide range
of P&ID symbols. |
Once
loaded in AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT, "PID Library" will appear in the menu
bar.
Step
1:
Choose
a symbol category from the pull-down menu. |

Step
2:
A
dialog box appears showing you the available symbols. Select your symbol
and click "OK". |

Step
3:
Insert
the symbol in your layout and rotate to the desired position. |

Details about the blocks:
You'll
be able to select from a wide range of symbols, each drawn on layer zero
with "bylayer" attributes. Once inserted, simply rotate the symbol
into position and it will take on the characteristics of your current layer
settings.
The
valve and instrumentation symbols contain attributes built in to the blocks.
Once inserted, you'll be prompted to type in information. Or you can leave
the attributes blank if desired. |

The
"P&ID Symbols Library version 1.1" comes with a total of 177 symbols
following ISA Standard S 5.1. The symbols are grouped in the following
categories:
Process
and Signal Line Types
No
need to create your own line types. Simply select the line type you need
from the menu, then pick your start and end points. You control the look
of the lines by setting AutoCAD's LTS (line type scale) variable to the
desired setting.
